Drought Begins to Plague Southern Arangoth

While a blanketing fog provides meager amounts of moisture at night along Drache, the continued drought has affected agriculture particularly hard in the countryside. Local produce has since taken a hit, as crop harvests have been eclipsed by the lack of rainfall and the inability to properly implement irrigation.

As the grass even turns brown, many speculate the sustainability of a prolonged period of no-rainfall.

And Then There's the Other Problem

Cicadas, typically indigenous further to the north, have already emerged from the earth and have begun to migrate southward. Due mostly to the drought, many speculate that these pests will flutter all over the surrounding outlands about Drache. Many can be heard along the farms, but some have even reported theses particular pests within the Forest Reserve.

This bizarre migration has caused alarm in the local authorities, who are struggling to explain the sudden appearance in a coastal environment. For now, officials have only pointed towards the drought as an explanation.

Conflict Finally Erupts Up North

While tensions have mounted between a build-up of forces along the Zul Kiras-Tyhinn border, cross border raids have finally escalated the conflict to open fighting. The United Clans have been reported as having "formally" crossed into the Southlands to occupy soverign territory.

It is unclear of how the Tyhinn Empire will counter this measure, but unofficial reports say that nearly all of the mounted divisions are being recalled to the southern border to stage a crippling attack.
