This shop has the prestigious honor of being an actual permanent establishment along the perimeter of the busy Merchants' Square, sitting in a prime corner spot.
Description
Stepping inside one is immediately presented with beautifully wrought works of art and craftsmanship. Paintings of landscapes hang on the whitewashed walls, vibrantly glazed pots stand next to fantastical creations carved from large pieces of wood, and a few alabaster and marble sculptures have a place on heavy pedestals of stone. Wood shelves hold an array of smaller items, ranging from plates crafted in various mediums to delicate figurines of porcelain and everything in-between. Behind warded glass-fronted cabinets are displayed ornamental pieces carved from precious stones.
Further in one will find a long workbench, likely with one of the artisans busily at work on a piece and always welcoming for people to watch. A potter's wheel sits in the back left corner while a grouping of three painter's easels sit in the back right corner usually with various works in progress displayed.

Whether your desire is a painting of the sunrise over the harbor, a carved wooden figurine for your desk, a tall vase artfully glazed to hold your favorite plant, or a commission for an alabaster bust, the two ladies of Carved in Stone can very likely meet your request. They also offer a small but quality selection of loose gemstones available to be carved and used for a signet ring (proper and official documentation must, of course, be presented before they will take on such a commission).
