Biography

Karadhra grew up as part of a nomadic band of orcs is the Eastern part of Arangoth. They survived by hunting, gathering, and raiding small villages when they got the opportunity. However, necessities were often scarce for her clan, and fights over food and other resources were a common occurrence. To make up for the lack of resources, they sometimes resorted to eating other sentient beings, such as humans, and even other orcs from time to time. One day after a particularly meager raid, a disagreement broke out over who would claim various spoils. With blood still running hot from raiding, a vicious fight broke out between several orcs in the clan. Riled by their kin, most of the other orcs joined the fray, and by sun down the very few survived. Their clan now torn apart, those who did survive parted ways, unable to trust each other not to slit the other’s throat while they slept.

Without a clan, Karadhra wandered aimlessly for quite a while by herself. She spent her time dodging various monster hunters, and stealing what she could from anyone who traveled alone. One night, Karadhra hid by the road as she waited for the right time to move on a small party who were making their way down the road. As they came closer, and she heard their voices, she was surprised to hear two orcs speaking to each other in orcish. She was more surprised heard them mention a nearby city where different races lived and worked together.

Weary of running from random adventurers, Karadhra eventually found her way to Drache. At first, sticking to what she knew, Karadhra made a living through robbing and pick-pocketing. However, as she spent more time in Drache, she found she had a skill for picking up languages and retaining information. Once she learned to read, she found to was able get through books, and understand their contents uncannily fast. As she dove farther into the pursuit of knowledge, she got a more honest job as a librarian, and eventually stopped thieving all-together.

Personality

  Karadhra is haunted by her past, especially the day her clan killed each other. She often has vivid nightmares where she relives the carnage. As a result, Karadhra has a visceral reaction to the sight or smell of blood, which is why in a very un-orc-like manner, she avoids meat, especially if raw. She has also developed a strong (albeite a bit chaotic) sense of morality, another way she deals with her past. In an effort to distract herself from her past Karadhra is obsessed with learning. She usually carries reading material

Physical Description

Karadhra is small for an orc, at only 4’1” tall. She has olive-green skin, Grey eyes and dark brown unruly hair. A scare runs diagonally across her face starting at the top left-side of her forehead, running across the bridge of her nose, and down to the right side of her chin. She has the lean muscle one would normally attribute to a rogue or acrobat. She dresses the part of a rogue as well, usually wearing a black sleeveless jerkin and form-fitting black pants. She prefers to go barefoot as she didn’t wear boots before coming to Drache.

She also has a small grey rat name Zira who likes to hang out on her shoulder or head.
